The schedule for Saturday, October 4, has now been released. Due to the Remote Area Medical program being at Riverview, games will be played at different fields this week.

A big thank you from us to Food City, for recently donating 20 First Aid kits for all coaches. Additionally, Food City also donated over 40 individual-use cold packs. The coaches and players appreciate the donation.

The schedule for Saturday, September 27, is listed below, but is still subject to change. Most games will be at Riverview. The late afternoon games in Clintwood will be at the Pound River ball fields, almost across the street from Clintwood High School (take Rt 83 through Clintwood until the traffic light at the police station, then make a right onto Brush Creek Road, following that for about two miles, then making a sharp right-hand turn at the sign that says "Ball Fields").

Practices Begin This Week

We have assigned all the teams, so your coaches should be contacting you to start practicing this week. Our first games will be held on Saturday (September 20); we'll post the game schedule on Thursday when it has been finalized.
New Coach Training: Thursday, September 11
September 5, 2008
If you're interested in becoming a coach or an assistant coach, we will be having new coach training on Thursday, September 11. Meet in Angie Mutter's classroom (Room 212 at Riverview Elementary/Middle School) from 6 pm to 7 pm. This is a free course, and is open to parents and grandparents of children who play, as well as law school and pharmacy school students.
Teams Being Assigned
September 5, 2008
We've registered a number of brand-new players (and many returning players as well), so we'll be assigning everyone to a team over the weekend. You should be hearing from a coach before the end of the week (September 12). Some of our coaches will be new and will not be assigned a team until after coach training on Thursday, so please do not call and ask about teams before Friday.
Fall 2008 Season About To Begin!

Soccer registration will begin September 3 for players ages 3½ to 18 years of age. Registration for all players will be held at Riverview and Twin Valley.
Riverview will have registration on Wednesday, September 3, from 5:30 to 6:30 and Thursday, September 4, from 5:30 to 6:30.
Twin Valley will have registration on Wednesday, September 3, from 6:00 to 7:00 and Thursday, September 4, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
Registration fees are $25.00 for new players and $15.00 for all returning players. Please bring any uniforms you may still have to registration. This registration is open to all children in Buchanan County. If you have questions, please contact Angie Mutter 935-5204 or Megan Smith 498-4453.
